Hi everyone! I’d like to encourage you all in our Westlynn Baptist Church family to prepare our hearts for Easter by participating in a church-wide devotional reading of select passages from Scripture. Prepared by Tim Keller and Redeemer Presbyterian Church, this 40-day plan will take us to Holy Saturday which falls on April 11th.
Instructions to sign up for the church-wide Lent reading plan
1. Download the YouVersion Bible App (from Google Play or Apple Store or http://bible.com/app ) on your device and sign in or create an account, if you do not have one.
2. Open this link for Pastor Sam’s special invitation to join the church online. You need to click “Accept Invitation ” at the bottom of the following screen.
3. So, let’s all read the Bible together as a church family and share what God has taught us online in the “Talk it Over” section. You can post your comments and reflections on the day’s passage for everyone in our church to see. This is a wonderful way to be connected with brothers and sisters in Christ in our church family through technology despite the fact that we’re geographically spread all over the place! You may want to adjust the settings to send/not send replies to your email / notifications and/or change the language of the in-App Bible (1,391 languages to choose from!).
So forget about Instagram and checking what your friends are doing on Facebook, but instead, read what your brothers and sisters are posting about Scripture each day!
